Honda BF 2.3

One of the world's lightest four-stroke outboards – at just 13.5 kg it rivals many two-stroke engines and electric motors. An updated carburetor delivers 15% more power than its predecessor without adding weight. The built-in 1.1-litre fuel tank provides close to one hour of operation at wide-open throttle, so the entire motor can be carried as a single unit. A centrifugal clutch keeps the idle smooth and automatically engages the propeller above idle speed – just like having a neutral gear. The 360° swivel steering offers excellent manoeuvrability and full thrust in reverse. Its fold-down tiller stores compactly, while dual lockable transom clamps provide secure mounting. The air-cooled block eliminates water-pump clogging concerns. A perfect companion for dinghies, kayaks and as an auxiliary motor.

Incredibly practical: the same engine that takes you to the middle of the lake fits right in the boot of your car. Light weight and an ergonomic carry handle make it easy to take anywhere. Four-stroke technology means low fuel consumption, affordable maintenance, and chances are you will get thirsty before your engine does. The newly developed 127 cc powerhead delivers noticeably more torque at low and mid-range RPM, comfortably moving heavier hulls. A compact 1.5-litre internal tank can be supplemented by an external fuel tank for longer voyages. The 12V 6A charging output keeps your onboard electronics powered, digital CDI ignition ensures reliable starts, and water cooling guarantees consistent performance in all conditions.

An enhanced version of the 5 HP sibling: built on the same proven 127 cc block, yet delivering noticeably more power thanks to a higher maximum RPM. It runs smoothly and quietly even at low revs, so it won't fatigue you during long fishing trips. Four-stroke fuel economy combined with a 1.5-litre internal tank makes distant waters accessible, and an optional external tank extends range even further. Water cooling ensures reliable performance even on hot summer days. The 12V 6A charging output lets you run fish finders and other onboard electronics simultaneously. Its compact dimensions and ergonomic design make it easy to transport. An ideal choice for fishing and smaller boats where just a touch more power than the 5 HP variant is needed.

The fastest and lightest four-stroke in its class, featuring a twin-cylinder layout and electronic PGM-IG ignition for unmatched acceleration across the entire RPM range. Digitally controlled spark timing ensures optimal combustion with remarkably low fuel consumption. The large shift lever sits conveniently at the front of the engine – a push-button enrichment system and intuitive controls make shifting effortless. Honda's exclusive triangulated pendulum mount system virtually eliminates vibration, keeping the hull ride exceptionally smooth. Open-water safety is backed by a multi-layer alert system monitoring oil pressure, coolant temperature and RPM, with automatic intervention if limits are exceeded. A built-in emergency stop lanyard ensures the boat won't drift away without its operator. Supplied with a four-blade aluminium propeller, and available with tiller or remote steering, recoil or electric start.

The lightest 20 HP four-stroke outboard in its class, engineered to remain surprisingly portable despite its impressive output. Proven PGM-IG electronic fuel management – borrowed from higher-horsepower models – delivers the optimal air-fuel mixture at any speed, making it significantly more economical than conventional carburetted designs. The 350 cc twin-cylinder powerhead boasts the largest displacement in its class, producing outstanding torque across the full RPM range. A pendulum-mounted engine cowl provides virtually vibration-free cruising. Multiple electronic safeguards – oil-pressure monitoring, overheat detection and over-rev protection – keep the engine safe under all conditions. Available with tiller or remote steering, recoil or electric start, short or long shaft, and even an optional power-tilt version. The optional Power Thrust propeller kit delivers 60% more thrust in reverse and 15% more forward – ideal for heavier hulls and demanding manoeuvring.
